This ticket system is for the World War II and Vietnam re-enactors and military vehicle displays, NOT FOR general admittance!

PLEASE ONLY REGISTER FOR ONE TICKET TYPE PER PERSON!   (and then choose a lunch ticket if you wish!)  You are either a reenactor or a vehicle owner/crew, but not both!  Two tickets can be reserved per registration session for non-reenactor vehicle owners to make it easier for them to register their limit of one free additional ticket for 'crew'.

Please indicate if you want to partake of the lunches provided on Saturday and Sunday by the field kitchen, with a limit of 250 lunches provided.

The Air theme this year is "VIETNAM" ...  The morning battle is always Western European in theme and the afternoon battle is Vietnam with Helicopters and Viet Cong!   Vietnam battle authenticity requirements can be downloaded by from the bottom of the website homepage.  Yes, the battle scenario will include both men and women Viet Cong combatants.

WW II Military Police re-enactors are encouraged to participate as military traffic coordinators and battlefield security.  Contact Alan Miltich @ for more information.

The Museum will provide Saturday and Sunday military lunch from a WWII field kitchen for the first 250 re-enactors / vehicle owners registered.  Water and Ice provided.  Portable Showers on site.

Re-enactors and military vehicle owners will be allowed to stay over (camp) on the airport property.  We must be self monitoring as there will be police presence on site 24 hours a day.  The camping coordinator is:  Kyle Scheel at

Thursday and Friday (August 8 & 9) are early setup days and not open to the public.  The early start is to provide extra time for setup and to make the event more worthwhile for those coming from out of state. This should provide a nice timeframe for everyone to hangout, relax, and socialize before the hustle and bustle of show days.  Campsite space is reserved, setup on Thursday is not required.

Here are some of the basic rules for being a good guest at Willow Run Airport:

No open campfires (wood or charcoal)

      No charcoal grilles

Cooking grilles and above ground portable firepits fueled by propane, white gas coleman style and solid tablet fuel are allowed.

Propane fires must have a fire extinguisher handy.

      No joyriding of vehicles

No open, visible containers of alcoholic beverages.

During the public segment  (9am – 5pm), No alcohol consumption whatsoever!

No military vehicle driving except within the camping city block or moving to the battlefield.

Minors (16-17 years of age) may participate in military uniform, but may not operate or handle weapons, per the event host.

WWII HRS Safety and Authenticty rules will be enforced.  (only exception is above)  For more details, visit  The museum reserves the right to reject participation from anyone that fails to comply with staff directions or for behaviour detrimental to the event.

If you are a miltaria vendor (not T-shirts or other genral or typical novelties), the set up charge is a modest $70 per 10 foot x 15 foot of 'store' frontage right in the re-enactor's camp area.   Email directly to make arrangements.
