2018 Civic Festival and Constitution Day - Exhibitor Registration

Exhibitor Participation Registration 4th Annual Civic Festival Celebrating Citizenship and Constitution Day The Center for the Study of Citizenship will host the fourth annual Civic Festival and Constitution Day on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Fountain Court at Wayne State University. The festival celebrates the signing of the US Constitution in 1787, and civic engagement. The theme this year is Community Engagement. Through music, DJ Peter Croce uses sound to explore what it means to be a human being and a citizen in the 21st Century. The Henry Ford will bring artifacts and its curators will be there to answer questions and to discuss the significance of the artifacts and students will have opportunities to learn about campus civic engagement. Faculty and students of the James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History will offer interactive art projects, and the League of Women Voters will be present to register new voters. Special Event: Naturalization Ceremony, 1pm As a special event, the Center will be hosting a US Naturalization Ceremony from 1 to 2pm during the Festival. The ceremony will be organized by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Office. The Hon. Mark Goldsmith, Federal District Court Judge for the Eastern District will preside at the ceremony and will swear in those new citizens. We invite you to witness this moving ceremony. Community and student groups are encouraged to reserve tables to promote their organizations at the event. For further information contact Aimée Moran at To register for a table at the event, please purchase tickets on this page. Exhibitor Notes: The tables will available for setup by 10:30 am, and must be cleared by 3:45 pm. Tables will be assigned in order of your arrival on-site unless you can make a strong case to me that you need a particular location. :) Vehicle traffic is prohibited on the mall except by special arrangement, so if you need to use a car to deliver or pick up materials for your table, let me know ASAP so we can make those arrangements. No homemade food or sales of any kind are allowed at the tables; however, wrapped candy and similar items may be given away. I look forward to seeing you there!
